TBD Linen + Shibori + Indigo Workshop

TBD Linen + Shibori + Indigo Workshop

Students will initially learn how a non-fermented indigo vat is made. Natural East Indian indigo powder will be used, and the vat will be ‘reduced’ using a commercially available agent (theox). While the vat develops, students will be shown four SHIBORI techniques: a folded and tied with a stitch, a solid with woodblock print, a tied & twisted method and a clamped one. You will enjoy the surprise of seeing everyone's unique creations and go home with four very different white and blue linen pieces to transform into 4 pillow envelope covers.
