Join us for a 5 night immersive indigo retreat on the picturesque Edisto Island, SC. Our home for the retreat is a stunning 5-bedroom house, beautifully styled and just a stone's throw from the beach.

Indigo Immersion

Over the course of four days, you'll delve into the world of indigo dyeing, learning various techniques from shibori to pounding, batik to painting. You'll work with freshly harvested indigo to create a range of unique pieces, from napkins, wall art, ceramic tiles to a stunning silk scarf. You will also spend an afternoon with Raffaela Riva from Color Rouge. She will teach you how to dye with other natural dyes. You will take home something lovely created with her.

We'll take a special trip to the property where our indigo is grown, as well as the historic Magnolia Plantation in Charleston. This will give you a deeper understanding of the indigo plant and its rich history.

Rooms

We have a 1 king room, 2 queens and 2 twins. The twin room is for 2 people sharing, 2 friends, 2 sisters or 2 people willing to share a room and make a new friend.

  • Accommodations: 6-bedroom house with spacious rooms

  • Meals: Continental breakfasts, wholesome lunches (all but one), and dinners

  • Activities: Indigo dyeing classes, natural dye afternoon with Color Rouge,
    indigo property tour, and Magnolia Plantation visit

  • Take-home goodies: Hands-on knowledge, personally dyed and embellished items, and a published booklet written by me
