Steeped in Color: An Indigo Dyeing Afternoon with Tea & Cake in Charleston SC
Sunday October 5th
2:00pm to 5:30pm
Unwind with a Cup of Tea & a Splash of Indigo: Join Our Unique Afternoon Workshop
Only 10 participants per session.
This is truly a lovely and unique experience! You'll get to spend 3.5 hours at this perfect space for those that want to explore the Lowcountry, learning about the rich history of indigo in South Carolina. Indigo was a significant crop in the state's colonial past, and it's fascinating to learn about its impact on the region.
During the workshop, you'll get hands-on experience creating your own indigo vat and using it to dye a set of cotton napkins and a beautiful silk scarf. It's a great opportunity to learn a new skill and take home some lovely, handmade items.
The hummingbird cake (I will also make a gluten free one if needed) and tea will be a lovely touch, adding to the relaxing and creative atmosphere of the experience.
This workshop is non refundable. if you need to cancel for any reason, you will receive credit for another workshop.
