You are in for a treat as the magic of indigo will amaze you!!
Enjoy 3 hours at The George Hotel with Caroline Harper, an expert in her field.
After a short presentation about indigo in the Lowcountry, participants will be shown how to prepare a non-fermented indigo vat and batik on cotton to create a resist before dyeing.
The instructor will provide the fabric, all other material needed, many many stencil examples and latex gloves. A drink will be offered.
Please wear old clothes or an apron. We will be outside. Make sure you have warm clothes for cold weather, or a hat for warm weather.
